NEW ZEALAND FASHION WEEK - Cybele

Cybele has been a regular on the New Zealand Fashion Week circuit since designer Cybele Wiren debuted in the New Generation show in 2003, and has since gone on to show at fashion weeks in Sydney and Tokyo.

This morning we saw on Facebook that the Sydney Morning Herald had picked Cybele to be one of the picks of New Zealand Fashion Week 2012, and as much as we don't like saying this as Kiwis, the Aussies were on the money!

The collection was predominantly dark throughout, but the genius was in the mix of textures to find one look, teaming light chiffon and sheer fabrics with heavier wool, furs and meshes along with some beautifully tailored coats for the winter.

The later part of the collection lightened up, with Cybele showing dresses in light crisp shades of cream, and what was almost a capsule collection of dresses which teamed the recurring black theme with a rich blue, which really added something special.
