We're hearing good things about The Triple One Manufacturing Co. They're about to re-launch Auckland's premier destination for headwear and apparel from brands with roots in street art and design. Triple One is focused on providing an eclectic mixture of brands that hold onto the great old world principles of attention to detail and producing quality over quantity.
The new store fit out is awesome, it fits perfectly with their location in one of the older parts of Auckland and the old world attention to detail. We think you could spend all day in there, aesthetically it rocks compared with many of Auckland's homogenised stores.
And whilst we spend half our time in the digital world, we have to love the lengths the guys have gone to to avoid using anything digital. All signs are custom made or screenprinted by hand and even the hang tags are created using the now rarely used but wonderfully cute, wooden rubber stamp.
Get yourself along to Triple One Manufacturing Co. at 111 Symonds Street, Newton (that's in Auckland for the non Jafas!) and check out awesome gear in an awesome location. One feature that blew us away and has people staring at the back wall: is the use of genuine vintage 1930s and 1950s newspapers from Auckland and Kingston Jamaica. For King, for country! Can't make it into the store? Visit them online - they've got a great website and, like the best of us, are on Facebook.
