Sex and Skin for Summer 2010 - Madeleine Tait

OK,lying here in what could well be the last autumnal sunshine in Wellington.  Thinking about a Spring/Summer 2010 collection seems a little far fetched.  But hey that's where most of the world is now and Sydney based Madeleine is putting her Sex and Skin collection together now.

She's taken her cues from the absolute kings of couture to masters of streetwear, the collection shows influences of designers such as Alexander Wang, Chanel and Versace, who began the sex and skin trends.  Madelaine's new range is all about showing off the female figure, she achieves a look that is soft and flattering, yet lends itself to being able to be transformed from casual to dressy with a simple change of accessories.

The focus of the collection is on the legs,  following the lead of Donatella Versace and making spring/summer all about the mini. Always one to be watched, relative newcomer Alexander Wang can see his cut-out and see-through mesh techniques sprinkled throughout the winning collection.

With risque hemlimes and revealing windows, the collection is balanced with a neutral colour pallete, using a two-tone effect to streamline the body, made famous by the house of Chanel. Cream, black and navy make these pieces perfect for mixing and matching together or with pieces you already have in your wardrobe.

And here's your one taste this winter, more to come (we promise).
