Deryn Schmidt - Soaring Spirits

Deryn Schmidt presents her Spring Summer 2012/13 range, Soaring Spirits.


Inspired by New Zealand's native birds, the collection is boldly coloured featuring rich reds, greens and floral prints with contrasting white to represent the white 'bib' seen on so many of our native feathered creatures.

While its colours certainly feature throughout, our native wood pigeon makes its own appearance in a print taken from an artists sketch of a Kereru in flight which was commissioned by Deryn and her team.

The collection is beautiful and feminine, and like her AW12 offering, the pieces hint towards 40's and 50's styles and feature the exquisite tailoring and finishing which Deryn is known for.
