WHYTE - Shades of My Shadow

Take a look at something special - the very first collection from Whyte.

Why so special? Because this label and collection comes from within the Fashion Guru family, with designer Nadya France-White also moonlighting as our runway photographer and a contributor to the stuff you see right here!

Still a fashion design student at Massey University in Wellington, this talented young designer's debut collection draws inspiration from the 1962 French film Vivre Va Sie (My Life to Live). Directed by Jean Luc Godard and starring then wife and muse Anna Karina, the film explores the ideas of relationship and unison in the style of artist and muse.

These themes are reflected in the collection through the focus on tailored crisp, clean lines with notably masculine silhouettes, against elegantly draped sheer and silk pieces.

This is just a taste of what will become a full collection entry in this year's Westpac Young Designer Awards. We can't wait to show you the final product, but until then feast your eyes on what we have so far, and start adding to your wish list.
